SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution Functional Expert

Randstad is currently working with a Queensland Government Department to find an S/4HANA Sales and Distribution Functional Expert on an initial contract until 19/03/2027. This role is based in Brisbane CBD, however due to the niche nature of this role we will consider candidates based throughout Australia.

Role Summary
Join a specialist delivery team focused on modernising supply chain infrastructure for a major public sector client. As an S/4HANA Sales and Distribution Functional Expert, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing a fit-for-purpose enterprise system that ensures the order-to-cash (O2C) cycle operates with peak efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale project that develops contemporary work practices and a safe, modern operating system.

• Design and implement new S/4HANA Sales and Distribution configuration and WRICEF objects in alignment with business requirements and SAP best practices.

• Design S/4HANA master data structures including Business Partner roles, Material Master sales views, pricing master data, and output/communication master data.

• Ensure seamless integration with related modules such as MM (Materials Management), FI (Finance), EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and BTP (Business Technology Platform).

• Lead the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process design, ensuring solutions are scalable and adaptable to future technology needs.

• Manage the full delivery lifecycle, including unit testing, system integration testing, cutover planning, and post-implementation troubleshooting during hypercare.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Minimum five years’ experience in implementing original S/4HANA Sales and Distribution module designs in greenfield environments or live production settings.

• Proven ability to create bespoke designs and original solutions rather than relying on predefined templates or rollout configurations.

• Deep technical understanding of SD integration with MM, FI, EWM, BTP, and external systems to deliver cross-module solutions.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into best-practice SAP designs.

• Demonstrated experience delivering SAP solutions across the full project lifecycle, including design, build, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilisation.
